environmental evolutionary genomics

The EEG Initiative is a collaborative hub of environmental and evolutionary genomics expertise, bringing together researchers and postgraduate students working in these fields across the University of Adelaide.

Our work focuses on the development and application of advanced genomic approaches to explore long-term evolutionary processes, and to understand and address environmental and evolutionary issues across different time scales, including climate change and biodiversity loss.

We also place a strong emphasis on training – equipping the next generation of Australian researchers and practitioners with the skills and knowledge necessary to use environmental and evolutionary genomics approaches in their own work.
